The adventure game engine itself, I intend to immediately turn into the backbone of a JRPG engine, which has two "Lite JRPGs" planned for this year. Last Legends I & II respectively.

The engine takes its strongest influence from the various Mario RPGs and from Chrono Trigger.

So to start with, I'll just throw out some highlights since I don't have an ordered GOTY list. Ys 9 was a really great hack and slash JRPG with some of the best characters I've seen this year. Very fun and smooth game to play, with unique traversal options to keep things fresh
