Jesse James, the notorious western outlaw, was born #OTD in 1847. Before his criminal career, James served in several confederate guerrilla bands during the #CivilWar, and participated in two of its most infamous war crimes, the Centralia Massacre and Quantrill’s Lawrence Raid.
