Wrote an event that slowly increases the density of fog in certain biomes. Gonna use it for my custom desert ;)
These look like different locations on the same planet as well, the spikes look similar, but very different biomes. One part looks like a dried-up ocean with coral, the other obviously a frozen tundra.

You are a scientist from the weather institute in Hoenn who got sent to an island with a variety of biomes. The main focus is "weather" and the player benefits from using weather-based tactics. The maps are from the rain area.
Next on our tour is "Temperate Code of Harms" by Julia Eldridge. The work is part of a larger series of 8 works, each based on world biomes. It depicts a coat of arms based on the temperate forest biome using heraldic elements and includes natural aspects of this region.
Mine would be Jenna Isusango and Moria Azaya Arma. Both from are from the same world, but live in completely different locations and biomes. I'd love to see them sharing stories and also briefly seeing what their ancestral home looked like.

It only took 10 years, but I finally did a reference sheet of my species, the Smile Lizards. The planet they live in is concave, with the sun being a spherical portal that orbits a star, so the planet has pretty segmented biomes.

Ayy I finally finished step 1 and 2 of my world building project. The height map of the continents is complete as well as the ocean currents. Now I get to do the fun part of figuring out BIOMES. #worldbuilding
They should add goats to minecraft
-They only spawn in Mountain biomes.
- They can be milked to get Goat Milk.
-You can put a bell on their necks.
-If you hit one, they will attack you with a powerful headbutt.
Just a thought I had. Let's pray it happens.
I've been working on terrain generation for #Terrene this week. Instead of lots of worlds like EOL, we want to have one massive world with lots of biomes. Heres an early example, biomes have properties EG small mountains or deep valleys or flat plains. #gamedev @JustWallGames

I'm starting to do some of the sector design and artwork for the different biomes. I still need to add the transitions between biomes so it's more natural though.

For #procjam I got delaunay+voronoi working on a sphere, then applied 3d simplex noise to assign biomes. Scales up to 1M+ voronoi regions. I'm next going to experiment with alternatives to noise. Noise is easy but usually not what I want. Interactive demo: https://t.co/HcYISbPDo9

Hard to tell because i go for an uniform palette,but some biomes use up to 5 diff. materials
