As far as from nostalgia/memory: All the angels from Bayonetta, The water dragon from Chrono Cross, FFXII cockatrice, and the Djinn from Golden Sun (I felt they felt significantly different from the other monster collection games of the time)

Illustration by me of some of the critters from my Americana style fantasy RPG. Using North American animals (Living and extinct) as the bases of the minotaur, cockatrice, and glutton. I'm also including North American cryptids like Wampus-cats, and Thunderbirds.

Here's my final for Character Design! The story is based around urban fantasy with gang members, a magic mirror, a cockatrice, and a girl who's fed up with it all.

Cockatrice is a small serpent, possibly the Egyptian cobra, known as a basilikos &credited with powers of destroying all animal& plant life by its mere look or breath. Only the weasel, which secreted a venom deadly to the cockatrice, was safe from its powers 1/2

Chupacabra and Cockatrice, from my Novel Adventurers Born and the RPG ("m working on based on it) Aerix. I wanted creatures that had both old world and new world origins as well as looked as if they were related to real creatures.
