Our little example zoo is slowly filling up.
First we did an Eryops colony, followed by the Lystrosaurus valley, of course the Gigantopithecus bamboo forest had to be a thing and we ended with the Austroraptor waterfall.

First up, Lystrosaurus maccaigi is a non-mammalian Therapsid, which is to say that they belong to the group which hosts the origin of true mammals but they themselves are not directly related to mammals. All non-mammalian Therapsids are extinct. ☠️#2022MMM

Ya'll I hope the Dimetrodon makes it in JWD! It's one of the most known Synapsids comparing to Lystrosaurus! I wonder if there will be a fight between Lystrosaurus and Dimetrodon, how amazing would that be? I really do hope it isn't as rushed as the last one did.

day two. What if every thing in the Jurassic was lystrosaurus! A repetitive of buccinadon (right), a common herbivore, stands next to a Duofindodens (left) a mid sized carnivore. both only have two teeth in they're mouths.

The three Lystrosaurus species I showed yesterday will be part of 4 pages/2 plates of my book (in preparation) that deal with the Early Triassic Lower Fremouw Formation of Antarctica. Here is a preview of both plates

Day 12 of my Dimetrodon (those who haven't seen the list: it's not a dinosaur!).
