Mastertronic’s first ZZAP! Sizzler is a cracker, and although it's tough at first, once you master it, it’s superb fun. It's especially good in 2 player mode: racing neck & neck with a mate then pipping them to the post is brilliant!

Today's is Booty - a budget game from Firebird. After some initially awful budget offerings from the like of Mastertronic, this was a breath of fresh air and £2.50 well spent. It's not perfect, but IMHO is pretty darned good.

Formula 1 Simulator from Mastertronic - This was the first game I bought for my Commodore Plus/4. It was made by the same people as Kikstart and the Lotus trilogy no less. 8 laps featuring your own car looking like all the other cars on track!

They were another software house that suffered when they sold out2Mastertronic. There was a massive drop in quality of their games, Doc the Destroyer? Asterix? Inspector Gadget was so bad it wasnt released despite being finished. Great shame. But yeh the ld scr to LOTR is lovely
