Had no wi-fi. Drew as dinosaurs~!
Couldn't decide on whether with or without featers. So I did both versions.

Borky's a T-Rex,
Panic's a Dilophasaurus,
Task's a Compsognathus,
Greckles' Rhamphorhynchus and
Remy's an Archeopteryx~!

Working on my PhD chapter, started questioning validity of claim that all Solnhofen Rhamphorhynchus being R. muensteri, especially R. longiceps. I know there are ontogenic and preservational changes, but, ignoring the size discrepancy, the cranium is just... relatively triangular

Sketched a Rhamphorhynchus this morning. I need to go back and draw more animals. Feeling rusty as hell.

News articles on Rhamphorhynchus predation almost all describe the prey as a “squid”. They’re really missing an opportunity to show that the prey was a four-finned, cirri bearing species on the *octopus* side of the coleoid family tree!

For I'll share one of my favourite fossils:
Rhamphorhynchus flies over water.
Snap! Catches a fish.
Then (there's always a bigger fish) SNAP! get's caught by a Aspidorhynchus leaping out the water! But it's too chewy, entangles with the teeth! Oh no, all die!

To help us forget about politics, here's some Rhamphorhynchus muensteri The 3 big animals are based on the largest known (1.8 m wingspan) muensteri specimen, which was once thought to be a unique species. Turns out it's just a really large adult.

Finally finished this of Rhamphorhynchus mobbing behaviour - three big adults chase a juvenile for its fish prey. The scene is a complete reworking of the opening image from my 2013 book 'Pterosaurs'. There are lots of other images in that book I'd like to redo.
