I went to go see the movie 'Scary stories to tell in the dark' and it reminded me that we read this book as children guys. AS CHILDREN. I didnt realize how terrifying this artwork actually was at 8 years old lmao AND NOW THERE'S A MOVIE ABOUT IT?!

"He would always go swimming in the river and the darker it was, the better he liked it..." - The Alligators

was an amazing movie. and perfectly brought horrific creations of Gammell and Schwartz to life.

Have you seen Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark yet? If not you should. It’s fantastic! Here is a character concept I did of the ‘ghost writer’ herself Sarah Bellows.

Review part 2/2 :
The backdrop of the Vietnam War, & the racist bullying of a Hispanic teen, remind viewers of the real horror when we wake from nightmares. I wish Harold had gotten some skin, but that would have earned an R. 4 toes up!
