Fluffy T-Rex! Fluffy T-Rex! Fluff T-Rex!
Some art I did back in 2018 but I was watching a dino documentary so I wanted to share it. While the debate on whether T-Rex had feathers is still ongoing a lot of evidence has shown that many other tyrannosaurs did have feathers!
how much cartilage do you think tyrannosaurs had on their noses?
this seem too much? im just wondering if we could give them a bit more for interesting new shapes for the front of the face to play with
Hello everyone! I am Grarrl Brown, I am a upcoming T-Rex vtuber and king of the tyrannosaurs. I will be debuting in the fall and will be doing variety and model kit building streams. I hope to see you all soon.

A sketch for @aoostalia of two Khan Rexes engaging having a bit of a disagreement. I like the idea that Tyrannosaurs fought similarly to hippos instead of just biting and holding on. Do I have any evidence for this? I can’t really remember i’m very tired.

@JoschuaKnuppe @TetZoo Indeed tho I did have an idea
So you know how #beastsofthemesozoic has those FansChoice polls? And how for the Ceratopsian line we got WWD Toro and Pachi inspired along with OldBuck?Well he hasnt done one for tyrannosaurs yet so we could sugest colours based on tyrants in the doc
@HlHumbert I mean this kinda ignores the context that Tyrannosaurs lived in. It wasn’t hunting particularly fast animals. It needed to be bulky to take elephant sized or larger animals down. Like you’re not chasing these things down, you’re trying to avoid getting your shit kicked in
Feathered tyrannosaurs? Some #tyranosauroids (like Dilong & Yutyrannus) have been discovered with fossilized feathers. But, skin impressions from large, more advanced tyrants only reveal scales. Aside from sample size, 1 theory for why is "gigantothermy".

Dino Fact!
Bistahieversor (Bistahi Destroyer) is a tyrannosauroid from Late Cretaceous New Mexico! Similar to Teratophoneus, it lived farther south than most North American tyrannosaurs and it also had a fairly short and deep snout! Studies- (1/2)
Art by Joschua Knüppe!
First it’s a proceratosaurid and probably the most unique in contrast to Guanlong and Proceratosaurus. Then again proceratosaurids are a rather unique group of tyrannosaurs.
Guanlong and Yutyrannus by @SerpenIllus.
Here’s a more derived tyrannosaur for #Theropodacember, #Dilong (“Emperor Dragon”). A small, feathered tyrannosaur with cranial elements that will be present in later tyrannosaurs (fused nasals). From Dilong to T. rex, big things have small beginnings. Art by Alex Lovegrove.
Timurlengia, an early tyrannosauroid that helped show the world that brains were initially more important than brawn for tyrannosaurs. Maybe there’s a lesson here. #TyrannosaurTuesday #dinosaurs #paleontology
Our next tyrannosaur for #Theropodacember is #Guanlong (“crown dragon”), my favorite early tyrannosaur. Fantastic art by @ChrisDPiazza showing a Guanlong pack being attacked by Sinraptor (center), illustrating the small beginnings of tyrannosaurs.
Posting this on its own. I'm just happy to have dinosaurs (birds not actually tyrannosaurs) again.

Yesterday’s morning warmup drawing with the skull of Guanlong (Dragon Crown), a small Jurassic theropod and ancestor to the much larger tyrannosaurs. I’m a little late for #nationalfossilday but there’s never a bad day to celebrate this beautifully crested carnivore.
