creepy, decadent magocracies with daily human sacrifices and weirdos cavorting with demons are one of my favorite fantasy cliches and one i want to explore a lot in the untitled morrowindish game

Urgh, yet another image of a floating, knife-wielding Frog with smiley faces for eyes who cut off his hand and now his hand is trapped inside a bubble. I despise cliches! https://t.co/qXQS9B7PWC

Realizing I can do "cyberpunk" (i.e., futuristic) cityscapes without resorting to the usual cliches.

I think cyberpunk just means pink.

When I first experienced XC3 I though the game was crap due to the VAST amount of cliches and sometimes bad voice acting. I hated that the combat didn't change completely I hated the characters. I figured plp will just "love" it cause oh it's Xenoblade Chronicles so it's GOTY!

These are all fun but play on things beyond the supposed 80s cliches and concepts

Paul Coker's Horrifying Cliches!

So much fun and life in this artwork!

Members of The Usual Gang of Idiots are reporting the passing of Paul Coker Jr. at age 93. Besides being a prolific MAD Magazine illustrator known for his “Horrifying Cliches” series he also did the character designs for all of the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials from 1969 onward.

All I saw there were so many cliches - an interesting plot turned to waste, repetitive characters with wasted potential - and from there I created new characters and settings.

I love it when good writers rip apart tired cliches.

those stupid cliches where a tomboy character "finally" wears a dress and wears her hair down except its my oc shika and she's gorgeous ✨

Anyways, here are some Canadian cartoons that execute the "protag, comic relief, girl trio" near-perfectly. These ones even avert many of the common cliches of the trio that make it so unnecessarily controversial.
All of these are really good shows btw.

WandaVision 8/10
Insanely inventive, with witty meta-commentary on Sitcom tropes and cliches, but above all has some of the best character writing in the MCU. Agatha twist was terrible, but the setup for MoM is fantastic.

I don't see how, all the charm and satirical jokes that make Gintama Gintama are found in the EDs. The OPs are cliche as hell which is weird for a series like Gintama where there constantly making fun of or twisting cliches.

I was FLOORED by the MegaMan NT warrior manga as a child. The dumb cliches and bad storytelling were invisible to me as a child; all I saw was an incredible story filled with drama and amazing art (to me then).

Now I can barely read a page without cringing at it.
