you're actually doing pretty good so far!! a tip i have is that maybe next time you try rendering hair, avoid individually rendering! it's because we visualize hair as clumps! of course, this is only a tip, so do with it as you will! :D (i used ibis paint too!)

Here are the main shapes I try to make when doing hair.
1 - Base: main shape of the hair, it's the fullest layer.
2 - Clumps: this one is smaller and sits on top of the first one. It also serves to reinforce the flow of the hair
