Kelpies - long-legged crocodilians who magically disguise themselves as horses to trick people into riding them, so they can then drown and eat said people.
It's Friday and I'm feeling VERY bullish on those chompin' and mud swampin' crocodilians! 🐊
Lets see those @acrocalypseNFT fam!👇
@bug_fiends Am gator! statistically less than 1% of furries are crocodilians apparently.
Dino medal for Duchus (Deinosuchus) When I found out about prehistoric crocodilians I knew I’d have to make vivosaurs for some of em. Duchus hasn’t changed too much since I first designed him, just changed the original blue to a bright red

@L0SER_IN_LOVE theyre two different subgroups of crocodilians, but other than snout and tooth shape they do have basically the same body morphology :)
It may not be the weirdest, or largest, or most ferocious or weirdest of crocodilians, but the average joe deserves a proper wikipedia entry too, here's Kalthifrons, the Spear Brow of the Golden Fleece
Before we tackle the crocs of today, first we must answer one question: what even are crocodilians? 🐊

Regional Water Type Starters, the Dwanna family is based off of both ancient crocodilians and predatory fishes. The final evolution, Scarapaima, takes inspiration from Spinosaurus and Arapaima gigas
Finished up my Croki / Alligator Loki drawing, made the snout a little longer 🐊 He's also available for pre-orders on my Etsy shop in case anyone's interested in getting this as an enamel pin! Store link in my bio ✨ Who here loves crocodilians? 💚 #loki #enamelpins #merchgame
@cusleacrann Obviously Godzilla and other big reptilian kaiju put a ton of influence into my design, but I also pulled inspiration from the D&D Green Dragons as well as real world crocodilians.
Spinosaurus art!! The broken snout was inspired by similar pathologies seen in some crocodilians and the occasional long beaked bird.
I'm feeling a lot more confident with digital art, learning a lot and really liked how this turned out! 😁

Effigia means “ghost”, since it wasn’t found in excavated rocks until decades later! Though it looked like a dinosaur, it wasn’t. being part of a group of reptiles called the Shuvosaurs, which were closer to crocodilians. Seems pretty sus to me!
Found more fanart: that time I drew all the main characters from a thing as various crocodilians.
If you recognize the thing, do tell.
(forgot the 4/? last post but whatever)
and here's some comparison images of related extant animals, like crocodilians and birds. (5/?)
Archosaur of the day!
Sillosuchus longicervix is a species of shuvosaurid Paracrocodylomorph from the Late Triassic in what is now South America. The closest modern relatives of sillosuchus, and shuvosaurids in general, are crocodilians.

Ara ara~ Mama Croc's Picrew thingies.~
Mama naturally has her eyes closed in the same way crocodilians have their mouths closed, when relaxed or feeling safe.
But when Mama's eyes open... things are about to get serious. I heard I'm not the only goddess who does this....~
