I found out that DreamWorks was making a traditional animated film in the 90s called The Wanderer which was about a stray bear who joined a circus with other bears. It would've starred James Gandolfini and Ellen Greene and directed by Prince of Egypt director Simon Wells.

James Gandolfini, he who bequeathed us the fulminating, testosterone drenched neurotic depressive Tony Soprano, died on this day 7 years ago. How odd to have a distant celeb die and us feel the loss as an intimate bruise. Such was the power of his performance.
