First I used the Extrude along curve option in Maya to create a base, then I used the Deform > Nonlinear > Bend deformer to make the skirt circular

's UV tools are really incredible. Here I've maintained my original layout, added tons of panels, and then packed all the extruded side faces into the padding from the original. Really, really efficient. Procedural too... obviously 🤓

her actual model isn't rigged and doesn't look 100% like this - did this render by just messing with the polys for posing, material colours and using the ol' extrude/invert trick to get the cel-shaded lines on her face. hoping to rig her soon!
