I've seen this going around again so I might as well with these guys, my full Galar fossils.
Dunklevish and Arctocidae I don't think hold up anymore but I do still like Dracorash and Velopazolt quite a bit. https://t.co/23IoJZaY61
@Kalinius_ @arvalis @PressPauseCont @papagaeio @nameshiv Open areas would have been covered by other types of plants, yes. We actually have one site from the Late Cretaceous where a volcanic flow preserved a bunch of open areas in full detail. Here are some reconstructions of that site by Mary Parrish, and some of the fossils.
This lithograph of a #Mastodon tooth is an important image in the #historyofgeology, from William Smith's book "Strata Identified by Organized Fossils..." of 1816. Learn more from @NHM_London blog post at: https://t.co/njko7PsrU7
12. By day, 018 is a curator in the Saturnia Museum of Natural History. He works within the Paleontological wing, where he identifies fossils. He's been a dinosaur nut since childhood, and wears an amber dinosaur tooth from the museum gift shop everywhere he goes.
Here are two new OCs, the Aipom Twins, Acrobat and Ashley. Short descriptions of each. Acro is very smart. He loves learning history and interested in fossils. Ash is very rowdy. She’s mischievous and loves pulling pranks. #aipom
The Elandsfontein farm near Saldanha Bay, South Africa, has an extensive fossil deposit eroded from ancient sand dunes. The #hominin calvaria from this deposit is of unknown age, and is similar to some "archaic" human fossils. #paleoanthropology
SWIPER NO SWIPING! 🔍
Can you spy Swiper in Dinosphere? Once you do RT with “Swiper No Swiping” to stop him from stealing some of our dinosaur fossils.

It’s the “Mother of Paleontology,” Mary Anning’s, birthday! Born #OTD in 1799, she hailed from Dorset, England, & grew up collecting fossils. A few of her many accomplishments include unearthing one of the first ichthyosaurs & discovering Dimorphodon & Plesiosaurus! #FossilFriday
I need to find time to design a Diablosaurus OC. I just can't, they're so cute! Loosely base it from the ones from the Isle, and actual fossils.
Just a touch of Bongo in them too.
Others, such as #Clioscaphites & the strait-shelled #Bacculites, spent most of their time in deep water - as indicated by isotopes in their shells. These, like many #ammonite groups ate plankton, as indicated by clumps of plankton found in the body cavities of some #fossils.
Scribbled out a logo for the prototype, added a special showcase mode for misc fossils. I also made a tileable background from a gameplay screenshot for its Itch page #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev

I have drawn two new #pokemon fossils. Based on Paralititan stromeri!
Fossil #hominin remains are often distorted when we find them, by natural weathering, moisture, or the weight of sediments that build above them. Sterkfontein, South Africa, has a complex array of depositional environments that left their mark on the fossils. #paleoanthropology
I remember reading Michael Crichton Jurassic Park: The Lost World. He describes the baby Tyrannosaurus rex as looking like a turkey.
He wasn't wrong. Nice post about baby T. rex fossils. (Art Julius Csotonyi)

Hi! I’m Shanley and I guess I like to draw anatomy and fossils. Happy #PortfolioDay !
@Rhari My favourite hobby is Collecting Antiques, Raw gemstones and Fossils. In particular I've always loved classical violin music and one day hope to own a beautiful well loved instrument from eras ago.. 🎻
Ultra project offers a good example of making ghost type fossils. Also thanks to SwSd showing the case of tragic incomplete recovery. Basically these are symbiotic creatures got separated thus the first stage can only be consciousness that is desperately to meet the other part.
A pair of Jurassic Rhamphorhynchus fly pass a sea side cliff filled with ammonite fossils. It's fascinating to think that this scene could have taken place 200 MYA and those fossils could have already been 200 million years old at that point. #DrawDinovember #paleoart
