A couple of Oviraptorosaurs for practice! #oviraptor #maniraptorans #dinosaurs
Overoraptor chimentoi On the Road to the Birds with a fantastic life reconstruction by Gabriel Lio. A "raptor" probably very closely related to that part of the Eumaniraptora that led to the modern birds. https://t.co/h74b9zpOBX

An admission which will astonish nobody at all who is familiar with me and my work: I enjoy drawing theropods most if they're maniraptorans -- obviously including extant birds. I more or less just tolerate the other kinds. ;}
These are all from 2013 but have some littol birdy maniraptors! Kakapo, goldcrest, magnolia warbler and bullfinch!
@Laelaps I might have an unhealthy bias towards the fluffiest maniraptorans.
Scansoriopterygids - small, tree-climbing maniraptoran #theropods, sometimes with membranous wings - are often depicted as screaming little dragons. I say that they would have looked like goofy bat-winged parrots: https://t.co/5vXTaNSJak Art by @eawilloughby & @thejohnconway.
@CTennie @MatthewPope @LeMoustier @drspacejunk @Protohedgehog @SciForProgress Sure, don't mind reposting this. Enough birds use stick tools, why not maniraptorans? Not quite the anvil that was already mentioned, but using anvils also not a bad idea given manual dexterity of certain species.
@Bonpland @CursedDinosaurs That Deinonychus is less shrink wrapped as it is overly stocky. Dromaeosaurs and other Maniraptors were probably pretty skimpy without their feathers (if modern birds are anything to go by).
My (late) secret santa gift for @SuperConcoction ! It's their Sona Fathom!

It's not too late to do blog posts looking at the past year, right? Because I just made myself write a paragraph on each new (extinct) maniraptor named in 2018: https://t.co/tmOXfm9BOK #birds #dinosaurs (📷Xu et al., Hu et al., Li et al., Mayr et al.)
Pterosaur pycnofibres suggest feathers are not limited to maniraptoran dinosaurs: Yang et al in @NatureEcoEvo

As a maniraptor enthusiast whose interest in them doesn’t stop at 66 million years ago, there’s one group of maniraptors I have largely neglected. That group is the passerines. (📷Selvatti et al.) #PraiseToPasserines
A handful of maniraptorans: Hesperornis, Mei, and Yandangornis for #sciart
#WIP of a generic maniraptor walk cycle for an idea I have. Crits are definitely welcome!
#buildabetterfaketheropod Another quick effort to improve maniraptoran-tyrannosauroid hybrid... Meant to be large.
