Filter feeding is a bizarre hypothesis proposed by the same guys who think that all Morrison sauropods are a single genus. It's not likely in the slightest.

The writers for Plague of Madness really tried to insert every sauropod related media as many as possible didn't they?

Day 11 is Opisthocoelicaudia! It looks like this one might know some good tricks.

Been thinking a lot about the characters I’ve made, and I set some time aside tonight to illustrate my favorite, Amber! (She loves sauropods 🥰)

FACT: sauropod reconstruction reached *perfection* with John A. Ryder's Camarasaurus reconstruction of 1877. Alas, I'm aware of no life reconstruction of this most excellent skeletal, so I've done my best to rectify that with some quick

Well it has been nice doing some more giant sauropods so here is other retouched recon, Argentinosaurus is at the top of the title of biggest land animal ever since its discovery with a mass estimation of 60 to 80 tons.

I finished a thing I was waiting too long to retouch in terms of details and is my recon of Barosaurus, one of the longest sauropods, is a sort of readjust of different things like scales, neck shape and a downscale to around 40 to 45 m, alongside Allosaurus fragilis and a human.

When reconstructing titanosaurs with no known skull material, you can pretty much go one of two ways: the macronarian style like Sarmientosaurus or the more diplodocid style like Rapetosaurus.

The Hydrogon, a giant late surviving Lurdusaur in the hollow earth and indeed the largest of its kind growing up to 20-23 meters long, an enormous semiaquatic herbivore 2nd only to the sauropods in its habitat and biome, inhabiting swamps, wetlands, mangroves and even kelpforests

Ah yes, Notocolossus. Probably the largest dinosaur you’ve never heard of. Discovered by Bernardo González Riga(pictured) and described by a team including Matt Lamanna, this giant has one of the best preserved sauropod feet ever found.

Results from the
Haopterus (on a old Bolong), Shunosaurus, Plateosaurus (devouring it's son) and Pristinailurus.

As for mating trace fossils, for 'Dinosaurs Without Bones' I illustrated possible (speculative) diagrams of track patterns representing such behaviors in theropods (L) & sauropods (R), in which the beasts with 2 backs would result in 4 & 6 tracks. 2/2

DINOTOBER day 28: APATOSAURUS

Apparently there's still squabbles over the Apatosaurus/Brontosaurus stuff with the classification of species? I'd always given up on Bronty. The Sauropods in general were all kinda boring in the head department, but had to include at least one more

Pastel Paleotober Day 26: Amargasaurus 🦕

Amargasaurus was an early Cretaceous sauropod from Argentina. While not as long as some other sauropods, its neck sported extended vertebral spines which, unlike spinosaurus and dimetordon, are not thought to have supported a skin sail.

Random dino dump, meet the Bastion, a giant hollow earth sauropod with stegosaurine like armored scutes all over its body and tail, also a sneak peak on a hollow earth abelisaur and one of the hollow earth protagonists

I strongly hold that no group of extinct animals will ever be near the combination of majestic, breathtaking, and humbling to look at as the sauropod dinosaurs. They capture the alien-yet-familiar nature of the ancient world like nothing else.
