i got the modular gradients down to 5 tiles, plus a few weird special cases. you could definitely go smoother if you added more special cases, also if you went organic and abandoned the snapped gradients, but i think this is a nice economical look.

I remember staying up all night on the last day with the programmer because we realized we still had to code in the projectiles, make the textures, AND program transparency. We ended up making pure green render transparent in our engine.

The scientific name for Breadbugs is “Pansarus Gluttonae”.

‘Pan’ typically means bread, the suffix ‘-sarus’ is used to refer to reptiles, and ‘gluttonae’ just comes from glutton.

So the Breadbug’s scientific name basically just means ‘Fat Bread Lizard’.
