Day 1616: Ribcage! Another simple study, but it was fun to try and dig into the information and really understand it. These first few studies are definitely more technical than artistic but once I understand what I'm painting I'll move onto more studies! Just gotta go steady!

The mlp style was made by the person with whom I AT with, the other green is my first try to re-design and the blue-ish one is the version I came up with today. Who knew ribcages are so hard to draw?

Quick tidbit on abs. A lot of the abs is defined by the shape of the obliques and ribcage, you can't draw one without the other. Just like you can't draw a arm with a big bicep, and no tricep.

i thought this was neat - the image overlaid with the ref i was using! immediately you can tell that i made the head too big (common mistake) and that some of my angles are off, but the important bits, ribcage and arms, are mostly all there!
