Let's fuck around and find out
In Thailand there is an archetype, the Nang Mai, the Lady of the Woods. This spirit manifests in different trees, each with their own specific lore. Banana trees are Nang Tani, beautiful young women who manifest in full moonlight. #FolkloreThursday

if you can think of any other characters who fit this archetype… please tell me
@jeffsimpsonkh It's a derivative of the core "Cthulhu" archetype established by the original rather than a literal "Cthulhu" but I think the Amygdala from Bloodborne is one of the only times I feel like a "Cthulhu" has come close to being unsettling on sight
@Neytiirix Meet Detective Darius Riggs! A noble elf-warrior PI as well as a deconstruction of the hard-boiled noir detective archetype. Darius is cynical, emotionally reserved, and intelligent yet oblivious to the bigger picture. He narrates his life as if its a tragic noir story. Its not.

My 2E fighter recently had free archetype retroactively applied, which gavr her 5 extra feats. I was already amazed with what she could do. Now, she's unstoppable.

PYRE is the sword fighter archetype. Super fast and dangerous with a blade.
When someone questioned me about the list of husbandos is simply... The top 3 is defined ALWAYS.
The 3rd position are of my “Archetype of Heroes of Justice” cutes and sexy, they want to protect everyone even if they try to act like cool
It's a tie between Weisz & EMIYA
Shadow Priest is one of the hottest potential archetypes for United in Stormwind - many players want to try it out when the expansion launches. But it's not the first time this archetype was explored. Check out its history in this article by @luci_kelemen: https://t.co/avJ4Lc9fh7
To take it even further, character animation does a wonderful job once again of selling archetype. Take Gran for example. Not only does he have a very simple, well rounded kit but his animations are crude & untrained. He's the embodiment of a beginner character in every way.
Second, I'm amazed at how well each character sells their archetype through their design. It's obvious that Ladiva is a grappler & Metera is a projectile zoner. Even chars that use the same weapon make this clear (these 4 all use swords but it's clear they operate differently)
