Me whenever a mermaid in the media doesn't have scales/gills/a bra and aligns even slightly with my very specific requirements for being "accurate" as if I'm a marine biologist specialising in them for 24 years lmao

My first character for the Wanderhome game! Willow Scalestone is a Komodo Dragon Veteran who wants to see the world for its beauty after so many years of causing destruction

好きキャラが偏ってる気がします。手足が多いとか、ひょろっと長いフォルム。鱗、怪獣、妖怪。来年もまた、このテイスト。

My favorite motifs are scales, elongated forms, and creatures with many limbs. I will continue to love and draw these again next year.

I think about the art in Klonoa Beach Volleyball's endings on a daily basis.

Credit to https://t.co/fQhx0Q5uij for these lovely upscales.

So from this part I knew I liked the face and the shy energy and I attempted to make a digital painting out of it. I kept with the shy attitude and face but bulked him up. To emphasis the merfolk idea I added scales and gave him a flowy skirt. The idea came from a beta fish!

I've had dragons on the brain tonight! Two of my Banescales - Forest Fire and Bellator - and a lucky first gen faceted hatch, Fuligo!

Gold Fafnir has more than pretty scales to be popular over other dragons~

I was motivated into doing a full colored piece and I spent all the day on him. Yeah, he doesn't need his crown to give you a good time.

I've learned from last time.

I drew Dia's interpretation of Clay. Why? Why not?

Do I regret drawing the scales? Yes. Do I regret even considering them? Nope. My hand and elbow cramp but I have no "𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒔"

Also blank background for less eye strain <3.

A truly complex and mesmerizing snake dance. The beauty of her lines, incredible body curves, shimmering scales. All eyes are directed only at her, she is ONE like that. Be careful, she came to win!
