So I decided to come back to the basics by practicing shading and lighting. It's a bit different from what I usually do but it's a nice chance to sit down and correct my flaws one by one. I still need to study how to draw materials though.

I tried environmental lighting and eventually said "Wow, I suck at Environmental Lighting."

So here's as far as I got before demotivated. Not a thing I'll give up forever on, but I feel like I was pushing too hard to make something I had no idea on.

Still, lines came out cool!

So since she’s a girl I changed her name to shadina. I did shading and added the lighting. Changed the color from red to pink and the emerald to purple. Hope you like it!
