This issue is also when Dick first brings up becoming a cop. I get why people don't like this now, but I also see why Dick would go down this route. He grew up working with Jim Gordon, he's still working out the best way to help Blüdhaven, and he tends to overextend himself.

Everything boiled down to using the illustrations for modeling guidance. Gordon's TVS model took two tries to really get the shape right & the coming replica represents that first attempt.

Gordon Johncock also ran so races when time allowed. He had some limited success here and once said if he had more time to develop his craft in stock cars he felt that he could of been a factor for wins in some races!

In 1977 Gordon while leading the 500 broke with 16 laps to go giving AJ Foyt his historic 4th victory. 1982 Gordy won his 2nd Indy 500 over Rick Mears in a close finish. After 2 retirements Johncock hung it up for good in 1992! Today he operates a very successful lumber business!

Gordon Johncock won the 1963 National Open at Wms. Grove as long with his share of victories in his home state in Michigan. In 1964 Gordy ran 4 Indy car races. 1965 saw Johncock win at the Mile in Milwaukee. Now full time on the tour.
