@Trenton75450552 sorry for the delay. Yea I do, one thing I try to keep in mind for values and color is to make it like shapes to refine later after laying them down. I put them in simple hierarchy of values that is consistent at best
for color, it goes with values but im not strong for that yet

@TheWeirdBug ... layer, guassian blur it,
- turn duplicated layer to add (glow), select the original shapes layer and delete that selection from the add(glow) layer to give it a glow edge and then go in with a soft eraser to make both layers a little less noticeable on the edges
@TheWeirdBug One of my favorite things is to do rainbow effects:
- draw out your shapes (ignore the green line) in a distinct color
- lock the shapes layer and use the rainbow tool (might take some finesse to see what "feels" right)
- turn shapes into a glow dodge, reduce opacity, duplicate

this crotch armor piece also, because of its top wide bottom narrow trinagule-ish shape, visually reads like the space marine crotch. so his pelvic area reads kinda unclear like it extends all the way to his knees.
