First one is a painting brush for artists who suck at painting, like myself. It's the Painty Dude brush.

Tried him for Scape Goat. Works well. Except for that I really can't paint.

Awhile ago I switched to doing my line art almost exclusively with a sketch brush and it's wild how different the feel is and how much I've grown accustomed to the sketch brush.

Not a huge difference but one is def a bit cleaner.

Pro tip: if you'd like a brush that (kind of) imitates drawing with a chalk, you can use foliage brush in small size and ~70% opacity! ✨👌

1. Put down main colors and basic forms.
2. Zoom in and render it/add details with an even smaller sized brush.

Another 8 just messing with rendering and comp. Presentation matters!

4 variations of using shape stencils and colouring using Sketches. Top left = airbrush / top right = pixelated, bottom left = paint blocks / bottom right = dry brush.

here's a preview for each brush. The Lory Coftis uses multiply blending when drawn over other colors. All brushes take advantage of tilt with Apple Pencil when drawing gradation.

I tried some new stuff here - pretty much used the rough pencil at 10pt in CSP for the whole thing. Love that brush.

The biggest change from upgrading to Cintiq is how much more comfortable I am drawing digitally. My sketches just come out looking the way I want which is new.
