Yakkha and Yakkhini, male and female nature spirits, can be found in all shapes and colours in Thai divination manuscripts (Phrommachat) where they are depicted as guardians for people born under a certain sign of the Thai zodiac. https://t.co/edekkMLknE
I'm slowly but surely working on some #kidlit manuscripts, with the hope of eventually finding an agent and publisher.
But I thought I should start sharing this area of my work more in the meantime.
A vignette from one of my stories. :)

🐸It’s from N’kai that frightful Tsathoggua came—you know, the amorphous, toad-like god-creature mentioned in the Pnakotic Manuscripts and the Necronomicon and the Commoriom myth-cycle preserved by the Atlantean high-priest Klarkash-Ton🎨Black Eyed on Displate🐸#Lovecraftian

My inspirations of this piece are from Medieval illuminated manuscripts, especially pages from The Book of Kells and The Lindisfarn Gospels.
How’s your #KidlitZombieWeek going? Do you have any zombie manuscripts that could be revived to submit to children’s magazines? Did you attend last night’s #KidlitZombieWeek pitch practice on Zoom? If so, how did it go? Thanks for all your great engagement this week!
Continuing our internationally renowned series on initials in medieval manuscripts.

Wondering where names of manuscripts sometimes come from? In case of Bibles, we often choose accompanying names. This so-called Bořek's Bible XVII A 29 is named after Jan Kryštof Bořek, who donated it to library of the monastery in Kladruby. It was founded in 1471 in Bohemia.
A drolerie, with some rabbits and a snailman - a typical motif in gothic manuscripts.
In my language #goth means both the medieval period and the subculture, hope this can be accepted anyway.
