28 Jun 1969 the riots began after the NYPD raided the Stonewall Inn. Black, Latinx, white, trans women, lesbians, drag queens and gay men all fought back for 6 days. Next year, the first marches took place. More info in our podcast: https://t.co/XMbtzJSmZp
