Yeah, it's a fun exercise. 🙂 What bothers me is that a lot of what we're discussing is Cartooning 101. When drawing a sincere smile, the edges of the mouth and eyes are raised, the eyes narrow a bit and the mouth assumes a crescent moon shape. Meilin's face lacks these elements.

i used to not draw thumbnail sketches before. would scrap a piece midway (after putting several hours on it) coz i’d realize i don’t like the result. 10/10 thumbnail sketching is a good practice 🤣
