I liked the remakes too. They were always destined to be a hard sell, so late in the 3DS's life and being remakes of games that already held up very well. But the side modes surprised me with the genuine life they breathed into everyman minions and the Koopalings/Kamek/Jr alike.

Happy 10 Year Anniversary to Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Debatably not only the best Pokémon remakes, but the best Pokémon games period.
