been having a blast with CSP. this time i played around with the airbrush function for the "light" shining off the serpent's head :3

you see that areas close to the skin?
I usually airbrush a yellow/orange with the layer set to Normal and the shade one (multiply) above it
I use the watercolor transparent brush on CSP and the shade is usually purple or something like that

i tried to shade with airbrush tool in it turns out quicker and easier than doing it manually. Instead of registering shades for every color, i would just create a clipping layer->linear burn (for shadow) or add (for highlights). keeps my color palette simple.

I don’t like to use digital art to make the super smooth airbrushed looking art.
