I've been wanting to get crafty in MM2 and art, so I wanted to draw with me to study up on some colored lighting. Having a helping hand and a light source in the dark definitely helps get the job done. (I should try their courses too.)

This how I work on detailed stuff:
1 - Block the whole shape.
2 - Add primary shading and lighting.
3 - Use the lasso tool and change the colors of different parts.
4 - Add as much details as your sanity allows.

Experimenting with layers and brushes for shading/lighting. Did the red highlights just randomly for fun. God Mob is the perfect character to draw, especially for things like this.
