Today 25 March 1677: Death of maybe THE greatest etcher/draughtsman Václav Hollar at Gardener’s Lane, Westminster.
It was Hollar who left us a glorious record of the Greenwich vista and Queen’s House c.1637... being paid the princely sum of 150p !
