That's right, mammals lived alongside dinosaurs and occupied various niches. Most of them were quite small though - because of that their fossils are often rare and fragmentary!

Magnosaurus was THE first megalosaurid fossil found and documented in 1923! Despite being found first, we have very little information on magnosaurus itself but based off of its younger cousin megalosaurus we can assume it was a scaled, apex predator. 🤓💖
