It turns out using some cool grays is actually kinda helpful if your character’s palette is opposite to the color of the lighting.

Here's me for I spent $50.000 on the finest tablet just to draw this using nothing but the knotted end of my bandanna to hold the stylus. Impressive, I know. And before you ask, no that yellow hair-bit isn't dyed, it's just the, uh, lighting. Specular reflections.
