I started with the idea of the armored shroud, which could be removed and used as a mobile bunker. This functionality is still present on the Desperado's final version.

Revised idea for what I would want for my model.
Got tired of the coat idea, mainly because it threw off the shape of the character. Also, flat top hairstyles are surprisingly hard to draw.
Now, I think I'll stick to armor plates and a large ponytail styled after the tolype moth.
