Colored up this sketch for further experiments in dark lighting. Not sure how well it worked but I like how it looks anyway.

While I was sketching this I decided to do a study of tones to solve the general atmosphere of the scene, as well as the lighting. It's the first time I do it and it's very helpful to visualize everything before making the final

Throughout his career, Rembrandt painted masterful studies of single figures, conveying character through dramatic costume and lighting. Here the craggy features of the old man contrast poignantly with his worldly trappings.

See “Old Man with a Gold Chain” in European Art.

All wrapped up with this piece, I became super invested and decided to go all out with shading and lighting. The rainfall effect was a challenge to convey, but I'll likely make that my focus in future projects.

Thank you all for following me and please enjoy.

Did a 1 hour study painting practicing with lighting. Used JK Simmons character from the film Whiplash, as a reference.

Drawing best girl (favorite OC) in different outfits to work with drawing new clothing styles here's the first one. I am also studying how to understand lighting. Next drawing will probably consist a series of outfits instead of filling the page.

Day 13 of done! I was missing colors (and ideas), so I drew a quick sketch with some unnecessarily dramatic lighting. . .
