I hired a 3D modeler and animator to make these for my indie game, but they kept forgetting details like the whiskers and tail etc. and whenever I brought it up, he'd make me pay him an extra $25 every time, so I stopped working with him.

I was used to drawing Aven looking a lot uglier in the past so that has stuck with me for some time, mistakenly. But over time my idea of her changed. Now I feel like she properly reflects the cursed being she was meant to be.

Fun fact Friday: Akira Otoishi is modeled after the japanese Rockstar Kenji Ohtsuki, Araki modeled Akira after him because they bonded over their love of horror movies during an interview together (also they possibly bonded over their love for western music too but idk).

⏪ a very early test on Crypto boy. At the time I poorly modeled a Rubik's cube just to explore the idea of some sort of puzzly device that would control HACK. Later this prop would become much more unique thanks to our awesome art department. You gotta start somewhere 😅
