What was your favorite dinosaur growing up? Mine was Deinonychus antirrhopus. The study of this species reignited the debate on whether dinosaurs were cold blooded or warm blooded animals. The agile skeleton suggests it was a very active predator!

This is the Deinonychus antirrhopus, a theropod in the early Cretaceous peroid. The Deinonychus is actually the model for the Velociraptor in Jurassic Park, believe it or not. Velociraptors are actually quite tiny, about a foot and half. (cont. for more info!)
