The giant Chinese paddlefish (up to 7 m in length) was found to be extinct in 2020 😭😭#fishart #fishsci #sundayfishsketch #fishyfriday
My brand new print "The Magic River" is now up in my store; check out the comment section. #SundayMotivation #SundayFishSketch
I had an urgin’ for some sturgeon this #SundayFishSketch! These fish can grow over 7ft long, and live more than 50 years. Unfortunately, the caviar industry has driven many species into the critically endangered category.
Blue runner for #SundayFishSketch- on theme this time!
Blue runners have been immortalized as the names of a certain breed of duck, canned food companies, foodservice technology, seafood suppliers, and sportfishing vessels. It's a good name!
I’ve missed the last couple of #SundayFishSketch challenges. I was still short on time really didn’t want to miss a 3rd; especially when the brief was #Placoderms
Off theme #SundayFishSketch but also #FossilFishWeek - male Falcatus falcatus- a tiny Carboniferous shark - here imagined as a crepuscular vertical migrator with biofluorescence. Head gear for pg purposes obs. 🤷🏻♀️
#SundayFishSketch of Masterpisces, though it looks a little like Dunkleosteus, is the oldest known vertebrate to give birth to live young. The holotype was found in 2005 in the Gogo Formation in Australia.
Very belated #SundayFishSketch from two weeks ago as we've been so busy unpacking and setting up our new place ☺️
Here's my stingray submission (it's a freshwater ornamental species, of course)- a Black Diamond stingray, Potamotrygon leopoldi.
#sundayfishsketch that I forgot to post this Sunday
Some deep sea fish and crustacean
New work! Exploring some unknown territories. Do you think it would make a nice print? 😀🐟 #SundayFishSketch #sundayvibes
Synanceia alula and Hippocampus bargibanti face off in the hide and seek championships to see who has the best camouflage. #SundayFishSketch

Off-theme #SundayFishSketch of some Yellowfin Shiners. One of my favorite native fishes because of their wide range of colorations during spawning season. I’ve seen all red ones, very yellow males, and all the mixes in between!
#SundayFishSketch Repost. Pink whiprays using the Rayft share service provided by smalleye stingray. Definitely a five ⭐ service.

My entry for #SundayFishSketch: Narcine genus all of them, plus Awaous banana #watercolor painting #sciart #fishsci
Thank you so much for the support in the last tweet, this is a paleoartwork that I did for a contest on IG: Tepexichthys aranguthyorum from the Tlayúa Formation, Tepexi de Rodríguez, Puebla, Mexico #fossilfriday #fishyfriday #fishsci #paleoart #SundayFishSketch
Thaumatichthys for a fashionably late #SundayFishSketch! This thing is just the best- it feeds on sea cucumbers and rotting seaweed and floats around pointing vertically, pointing straight down towards the seafloor. It's my favorite deep-sea fish, and I just love how weird it is!
Matilda took more time on this than any other #SundayFishSketch
This isn’t the first time that she’s traced an image for the outline, but this is the most careful that she has been.
Not sure if im doing this right, but i drew Groenlandaspis for #SundayFishSketch
