Leighton Hall Woollatt 1905-1974 b. Nottingham, he studied at Nottingham College of Art & the Royal Academy. He was an official war artist during WW2 & much of his work in public collections relates to that period & features damage around Devon where he spent much of his life.
Martin Leighton ensures that his work always "tells a story, so that the viewer enquires what is happening".
