I remember when pterosaurs looked like this, and as a kid I really disliked them because of it . But now, with a more realistic and believable design, I adore them a lot!

Those are very obviously just regular, placeholder CG birds. Aside from one flightless species, canonically there are no flying pterosaurs on the 2005 Skull Island. The animals seen many times in the background during the film are likely just seagulls.

I'm just thinking about NMS pterosaur - I love how some pterosaurs are nicely preserved with wings neatly tucked, and some look like they've been taken out of washing machine and driven over by 4x4 truck.

Plus, we still have compelling evidence of gigantic, 8-9 m wingspan toothy sea-going pterosaurs. Next to azhdarchids, they're the biggest pterosaurs of all - there's plenty of real science on these guys to get excited about. (Average-sized 5-ish m wingspan Cimoliopterus below.)
