Today I celebrate the privilege of collaborating with some of the most wonderful women in paleontology, like Meave Leakey and Nina Jablonski. Back in 2004 I worked with them on the study of amazing fossils of Rhinocolobus and other fossil monkeys from Koobi Fora. What a ride!
fossil fighters twitter please tell me about your dinaurian OCs, i absolutely love them....... my own dinaursona is so special to me 😭💚🧡
Though Albertosaurus was pretty big, it was a dwarf compared to its cousin, T. rex. “Gorgosaurus” is likely just a species of Albertosaurus, and this animal, according to fossil evidence, may have lived in packs!

Estimates of the age of fossil #hominin children have come a long way in 50 years. Still, we have much to learn about the variation in enamel growth rates in some species, including Australopithecus afarensis. The LH 2 child died at around 3.25 years of age. #paleoanthropology
Which of these Gen 4 Fossil #Pokemon is your favorite? Bastiodon or Rampardos? 🪨

Some five-year-old #paleoart for #FossilFriday: troodontids meet Tusoteuthis. Fossil coleoids are famously difficult to reconstruct (all soft-tissue, virtually no skeleton), so it's sometimes best to bundle them up on a beach where no-one can tell what they're meant to look like.
When John Robinson ran out of government funding and left Swartkrans for a month, he returned to find miners blasting out dripstone to sell to a toothpaste manufacturer. Over the next two years, his team retrieved #hominin fossils from the miners. #paleoanthropology #FossilFriday

Il est extremement bon pour trouver des fossiles, ce qui en fait un allié de choix en paléontologie. Cependant, il a tendance à vouloir garder ses trouvailles pour lui.

By the late 1950s, scientists had recovered #hominin fossils that showed that Australopithecus and Paranthropus were bipeds in a humanlike pattern. The pelvis evolved a form different from any other living or fossil primates. #paleoanthropology
@Neytiirix Here have my jelly dino. She's really squishy and she can change her size and shape(but they shape she takes is always dinosaur themed), also she has fossils in her stomach
