The original concept for BoBoiBoy initially has the powers come from the headwear the kids wear. Since Gopal back then was not depicted with any headwear, he was likely not meant to have powers. Whether Ying's cap not having eyes meant anything or not is a mystery.

For some reason, her spider form is very small for an Areana(mechanically because she's a Hengeyokai reskin), the size of a large tarantula(though still slightly smaller than a goliath birdeater). Makes her very stealthy despite her loud/flashy powers!
