I remember when the concept art for HOB first came out, it was Hua Cheng protecting Xie Lian—yes, gorgeous, perfect.
Then the real thing came out... and it's better omg. The umbrella is tilted toward XL, covering him more and HC less. That, in fact, is the real perfect picture.
but for now understand the place IDW has it made new characters, gave us new mythology to draw on and made some fan favorites. It has a lot of love and people followed but it was not perfect. But hey it gave thrilling 30 Springer, and I can't hate them for that awesome toy design

Nefertimon absolutely feels as a Perfect for me, it's clear how it's the body of Tailmon, and it has a rivalry with Bastemon, it has also a nice feeling as Holydramon or Saber Leomon's Perfect.
Even so, it doesn't bother me as an Adult.
Swanmon is an interesting case, I think it works pretty well as both Adult and Perfect (although it's appearence may be kinda weak for the latter), it's asociated as Sinduramon's Adult, works well with Sirenmon, and it could work as Venusmon or Fros Velgrmon's Perfect.
Honeybeemon is weak and comes from Kunemon, Adult is fine.
Depthmon is interesting, it's an Adult by all means, but it's diving abilities are outstanding, comparing it with Hangyomon and Whamon. Since it resist so much pressure, I'd be fine using it as an Adult or Perfect.
Sethmon is constantly used as an Adult level (and is the opposite of Holsmon, who's also treated as such)
Yaksamon is used exclusively as an Adult... but Hunters has it closer to Perfect... still, I think of this as an outlier, even if it wouldn't bother me to use it as such.
