I always felt the SNES/PS1 Classic Mega Man art was the sweet spot! 👍
Today Tomba 1 got released 22 years ago, i have to thank the developers for making this great game, hopefully the community will grote for years to come.

There's been a surge of modern horror games made in the faux-PS1 style and its a fantastic look; an RPG with those mechanics would be fantastic, successfully blending that aesthetic with properly executed modern RPG gameplay would make for an amazing experience.
I wish PS1 and N64 had more 2D games.. the 32-bit era could've looked so different.
