I might as well post this because I'm never finishing it. I realized while drawing the first landscape that I don't like drawing landscapes. At least super realistic ones.
Hendrick Avercamp painted Dutch everyday life, especially winter landscapes.
This watercolour demonstrates his skills as a draughtsman, to convey the hustle & bustle of life on the frozen river - the man carrying firewood and the the sledges 🛷 on the thick ice 🧊 #January
Worked on sub surface scattering today. Tried to do a peach on my own, couldn't find a ref for it so I did grapes. ^^ #drawing #painting #krita #digitalart #eye #fruit #female #hair #color #reference See you guys tomorrow it was a great stream! ✌️ 🖌️

For William's design I just went off an older ref but streamlined it to make it easier to keep on model. I felt like keeping his head more square would contrast well with Zach's roundness and Lucas's triangle shapes.
'Great Dunmow, Essex.' Although John Aldridge painted portraits and figures in interiors, there are rarely figures in his landscapes. The countryside he portrayed is an inhabited one, closely cultivated and frequently punctuated by houses and barns.
Studies through out my mentorship.
At week one I took the two value studies a little to seriously. Then I learned to let go and concetrate on the big shapes.
At week 3 I got my first taste of really breaking down values which still continues!
Starting my art year off with some wintry landscapes. They’re pretty basic so far but I think it’s a good start for now. I plan on doing three landscapes for each season to get a hold of colour palettes and lighting and what not.
Though the majority of my art is pinup material, I really enjoy drawing creatures and landscapes. While I won’t be stopping pinups anytime soon, I’m gonna put a lot of focus towards this kinda stuff this year.
Maybe even finally finish my custom MTG set. One can dream. xD
Here’s an exercise that I do to generate new characters. First, I start off by creating a shape using the lasso tool. I will use this shape as the silhouette, fleshing out all the components keeping in mind volumetric shapes. 3/4 front views are more int… https://t.co/BkGqSOWOZZ
I hit a bump in the road before 2020 ended. So I need to step it up and learn more about figure drawing, illustration, and landscape painting. This will be my first step into landscapes. Learning through Bob Ross videos. #landscapepainting #DigitalArtist #digitalartwork #art
