Since the goal of my daily sketch is to get a mostly completed I like to use a Micron pen to do some quick outlines to help make colored pencils pop. Is that lazy?

Trying a "no outlines" style. This is Fern, a fire-breathing giant wolf in a story I'm thinking about. She is based on Fenrir, one of Loki's children from Norse mythology.

Here's the results of a new style I've been working on :D
It's basically a mixture of solid-black outlines, hard-shading and flat glows.
I fell in love with simple styles, so I decided to try my hand at minimalism~
I'm extremely pleased with the results! Hope u guys like it!

Been on break from the page making and decided to draw up mine and my buddy characters after me and him chatted about their world/story. Also never blur ya outlines , that’s one of the mistakes in this picture.

It's the first time i use Fire Alpaca and for some reason, i feel... satisfied? idk I've been with 0 motivation these days and the fact that I'm finally going out of it, it feels good.

Next one i'll try to do it without outlines.

It's interesting to go back and see how I've progressed as an artist over the years.
My outlines have progressively gotten thinner, and I've leaned more towards cell shading/hard shading instead of soft shading, Although I still feel like I have alot to learn about texturing.
