Our beautiful government, who decided after an school shooting that the game rating should be displayed MUCH larger. USK actually tried to veto it and were against it. But they at least pitched the redesign icons.

Trust me, they're annoyed as you are that their icons are SO big

It’s a new brush day today! Always very exciting and always leads to bolder strokes and what a better way to test them than with chunky clouds and a patchwork of fields

Four years ago today, first day of USk Manchester 2016! Dinner in the evening with sketching pals, some I'd known for years, some I'd just met. It was cold so I had to share a blanket with Arnaud de Meyer. Manchester is pretty ace actually, it was my first time there.

This day a year ago, fun in Amsterdam at the 10th USk Symposium, especially the workshop with Hugo Costa (in an air con'd cafe above the rooftops; way too hot outside!), then I visited the Ajax stadium (in my Spurs shirt...), then beers in the evening with pals at Amstelhoeck

Rivers are a really interesting subject to paint, with the reflections and glistening surface they lend themselves to being a bit more abstract
All my daily paintings are available for £95+P&p

Nine years ago today, Lisbon again, final day of the 2nd USk Symposium, sketching early at Rua de Bica, on a workshop with Asnee Tasna (and Joa Catarino if I recall) and staying up late sketching at Cafe A Brasileira in Chiado

Meanwhile this same date two years ago in Porto, a much bigger USk symposium (6 or 7 times the size of Lisbon 2011 at least), I took a fun workshop with Simo Capecchi on the banks of the Douro. I met Simo at PDX 2010 and took her workshop then, but wandered off sketching then...
