I add colors onto the grayscale with overlay, color, and multiply layers where ever i need to. The skin and the hair and eyes and such are all on overlay layers and blush on a multiply. U dont have to do it exactly like this. Just mess around with colors and layer effects.

Boy, this one I'm proud of! not because of the result, but the fact that I could transform an old, messy, forgotten sketch on this by working simple (I just wanted to do lines and grayscale), I think I understand now that simplicity is the key
