@halfawakeartist My only thought is that it might by lack of dynamics? Backgrounds would help but I don’t think that’s the whole thing. I think adding more expression variety or trying new angles and body poses might help you improve. Here’s some times I think you did really good on that stuff :)

Something I love about Webcomics is how things I found daunting in the beginning get so much easier over time.
I was really worried about how Peach’s hair would feel to draw every update, but after less than a chapter I could draw it how I wanted and from multiple angles.

My design for this so far is pretty much complete, EXCEPT I am unable to smooth out the edges of Latios and Latias; right now they're just protruding four millimeters off the surface.
Any ideas? Beveling isn't working well due to the weird angles, and my sculpting skills suck.

It started with a quite black and white underpainting… then colour… Its me from different angles, face to face and reflection in reverse- straddling mirrored worlds and through a phone… and all at once it is not me, #artlife
Progress so far today. learned about angles a bit for the hand and face, and slight hatching. Also changed the hair a bit, may reuse the side curve in the future.
Early Z looked nice, and I wanna get better.
